Nidhi was super excited to celebrate her 5th b'day with her girl friends. She wanted to order her own cake, select the disposables and the return gifts for her friends. We shopped on a windy thursday at Hobby Lobby, Dollar Tree, Walmart and Kroger. By the end of the day Nidhi was all done shopping and was too tired to help me wrap the gifts.
She chose a Disney Princess cake with whipped cream frosting. Pizza, juice and chesse puffs were on the menu as per her wish and my convenience. This time we chose to organize a few fun indoor games for the girls. I chased Biju to Universal Merchandise store on the day of her b'day to pick up prizes and games. We divided the girls according to age and planned 1 game per group such as Hot Potato race, Sack Race, throwing bean bags into buckets(for the 1 yr olds) and lemon and spoon race. Nidhi insisted on playing Duck-Duck-Goose in the end. It was pretty tiring for me by the end of all games and getting the girls ready for each game. The girls enjoyed dancing to some Hindi Music (per Nidhi's wish/demand...lol) and called it a day with the Pinata in the end.
This year Nidhi wanted to bake cupcakes for her school friends and since her theme was all pink I bought a strawberry cake mix from the grocery store along with some pink whipped frosting. Nidhi helped me bake mini muffins for her classmates and I frosted them in the class. She also particiapted happily in the "Walk around the sun" event unlike last year. She can't wait for her 6th b'day and has been telling me what she wants next year and the year after!!!!
