Nidhi had been looking forward to decorate the house for Christmas since August!! We usually get ready to decorate the house during Thanksgiving. This year was no different and she was our little helper all along. I let her hang the ornaments on our tree and she was excited. By the end of the day the ornaments were sorted according to size and color and I showed her how to hang them with the ornament hooks. She also decorated her small tabletop Christmas tree I got 2 years ago from Hobby Lobby. Nidhi wanted the whole thing to be done in one days time and we were just not ready for it :). She made sure her dad decorated the door and helped with the scissors and sticky tape. Here are some pics of her decorating..
The next day Biju hung the lights up on the windows and set up the crib. This year a special addition to the crib was a Manger that Nidhi made in her Bible Class for Christmas. She was supposed to place one piece of hay/straw everyday for doing a good deed but she just dumped all the hay in one go because "that is how it is supposed to be"- according to her.In the evening Nidhi treated us to a great dinner and some tea (from her toy kitchen) and she lovingly set the table and took our orders (like a waitress) and made sure we ate and drank them all!
