Treasure Box n Such!

Nidhi wanted to make a treasure box for a long time now(well..3 days actually!!). It has been just one week since our school closed (I completed my Montessori 3-6 internship this past year where my daughter studies) and she was getting bored especially in the mornings. She watched PBS Sprout where Nina demonstrated how to make a treasure box and that caught her attention. I went to Michaels and bought a lot of fun stuff that she could use to decorate her treasure box. We used an existing paper copier box that was in her storage when we moved two years ago. A few pom-poms,tacky glue, glitter foam letters and wooden stickers later....we both created quite a large treasure box. I had saved a lot of her art work from her toddler class days and we did have quite a few "treasured" items. Nidhi had a lot of patience decorating the top cover but was not so enthusiastic about completing the entire treasure box..understandable since she is just 4.5 yrs old. She and I had some good mom-daughter time decorating and gluing.
